Edit2: Also, the router is confirmed to NOT be the issue, as the same behavior persists despite acquiring a new 802.11ac (previous was wireless-N) router in December. I can and have played online games for hours straight without a single drop.Р”В«ut I take thirty seconds to read an article in a single open browser window with nothing else open or uploadingdownloading - boom.Р”В®very time. Or anyone else got any ideas why this keeps happening Edit: Note, as long as my connection stays active, everything works fine. Is there a way I can force it to refresh the network list every few seconds to prevent it from idling Bit of a hack, but Id settle for that. I even tried toggling these on and back off just in case they were bugged.

I had assumed it was some kind of power saving feature.Р”В«ut I double checked every network related device in Device Manager and the Allow windows to turn off this device feature is unchecked, as is the wireless state management feature in Windows power settings (set to Maximum Performance). However, if I click on the connection icon on the system tray, it will pull up the list of available WiFi networks, and for a moment it will only show my (currently connected) network, but after a second it will populate with the other networks in range (neighbors, etc), and the moment it does, my connection comes back. The connection icon still shows connected, but I get page load errorsconnection errors on games, etc. Previously I posted on rWindows10 about some issues with bluescreening when trying to update the driver, but I got all that sorted out thanks to some help.Р”В«ut now Ive still got an issue that has been plaguing me since the beginning.Р”В«asically if my connection goes idle even for a moment (meaning nothing downloading, no pages loading, etc), I frequently and suddenly become unable to connect to anything. I've uploaded a screen shot of the Xirrus report. When I change the channel in my router the hidden network also uses that channel. It shows that the hidden network has a strong signal and is using an identical channel. I've used Xirrus to look at my router and wireless network. I have gone to known networks and 'forgotten' it. It's visible in my list of available networks.

In addition I reset the router to factory settings two days ago with no help. Updated the fix that was associated with a bug at the last update. Also changed the wireless mode to 802.11b/g instead of auto. I have also unchecked the adapter power management option and set at maximum performance. Things I've tried - resetting all defaults in browsers, turned off all mobile (VPN, hotspots, proxy) Win 10 settings, reset modem and router (updated router firmware), reset DNS (in computer and router) tried the google and other public DNS addresses, synced the computer clock with internet time (seems to be synced), turned off firewall & uninstalled virus protection, updated wireless card driver (Realtek 8821 AE wireless lan 802.11ac PCI-E NIC) and seemed to work fine but with a fresh boot the problem returned. But usually it will just start back up on its own without restarting. Sometimes if I troubleshoot from the error message it says there is no problem and other times it says the default gateway is not available (restarting adapter seems to get it moving again). Happens in all browsers with both users on computer. Can't connect for a minute or two then am able to connect just fine. Getting error message can't find website or DNS error.

This is def a wireless issue, internet accessibility is fine hardwired, problem happening sporadically. New desktop ASUS M32CD, Intil i7-6700, 15GB, 64, Win 10, ISP is Time Warner, Netgear N600 router, Motorola Surfboard 5B6141 modem, Avast and Malwarebtyes for anti virus/malware.

I thought I'd fixed this problem a month ago with a channel change, but it popped back up three days ago.
